The ICT for Kosovo’s Growth Project, funded by the European Union in Kosovo and implemented by WEglobal in partnership with Prishtina REA, held its 12th, the final, Project Steering Committee meeting today, 26 August 2025, at the Ministry of Economy. The meeting reviewed the project’s final achievements, sustainability, and handover of activities to national institutions. Over its implementation, the project has strengthened Kosovo’s ICT sector through advanced training in programming, bigdata analytics, ML and Al, supporting innovation, skills development and digital transformation.

The session reviewed the project’s achievements through the presentation of the 11th Progress Report and Final Report, alongside discussions on sustainability and the handover of activities to national institutions. “The ICT for Kosovo’s Growth Project has been a milestone in advancing digital skills and supporting Kosovo’s innovation ecosystem. Its results will continue to streng- then our economy and society,” said Mr. Agim Kukaj, director of ICT Department/Mi- nistry of Economy.

This initiative has provi- ded skills, opportunities, and innovation pathways that will serve Kosovo well in its digital transformation journey” stated Mrs. Daniela Huhmann, from EU Office in Kosovo. “WEglobal and Prishtina REA are proud to have implemented ICT for Kosovo’s Growth. The project’s legacy lies in the people trained, the institutions strengthened, and the partnerships built,” added Mr. Kostas Metaxiotis, project director/WEglobal.

Over its implementation, ICT for Kosovo’s Growth has contributed to strengthening Kosovo’s ICT sector, providing cutting-edge training in programming, data science, and Al, while fostering cooperation between institutions, academia and the private sector.
