ICT for Kosovo’s Growth: Regional B2B Meeting in Ferizaj


On April 20th, 2021, ICT for Kosovo’s Growth organized a Regional B2B meeting in Ferizaj. The event brought together ICT companies and non-ICT businesses in the development and exporting sectors. The meeting was open to the public, with attendees complying with anti-COVID measures.


Keynote Speeches

Deputy Mayor Arton Gavazi of Ferizaj opened the event. He discussed the challenges facing various industries and emphasized the importance of digitalization. He also spoke about the opportunities these events provide for collaboration and growth.

Mr. Bujar Baliu, a representative from the Furniture Production Cluster, also spoke. He praised the meeting for creating valuable networking opportunities and fostering cooperation between sectors.

Mr. Dominik Deda, from the Kosovo Association of Information and Communication Technology (STIKK), gave a short speech as well. He explained that STIKK unites technology leaders, helping them connect and collaborate. He also highlighted how STIKK supports its members in advancing technology.


B2B Meetings and Outcomes

After the speeches, participants engaged in prearranged B2B meetings. A total of 10 meetings were held, allowing attendees to exchange ideas. Participants discussed integrating ICT into furniture production businesses in Ferizaj, an area known for its strong furniture industry.

The event saw the participation of 9 ICT companies and 10 production companies. The meetings led to productive discussions, as well as concrete proposals and solutions. These discussions are likely to result in future cooperation agreements.

The event concluded with a shared understanding of the need for technology integration in production and management systems. This will help businesses streamline operations and become more competitive.
