A Unique Internship Scheme is provided by the EU funded Project “ICT for Kosovo’s Growth”

The EU-funded Project “ICT for Kosovo’s Growth” creates a dynamic where newly trained individuals bring fresh perspectives, while local ICT companies contribute their seasoned expertise. The Project introduced a Unique Internship Scheme to provide a skilled ICT workforce to selected companies in Kosovo. The aim is to bridge the digital and business skills gap sustainably, meeting the needs of the market.

The Internship Scheme has two main objectives:

  1. To support the professional development of certified trainees.
  2. To enhance the competitiveness of Kosovo’s ICT businesses by providing them with a modern, skilled workforce.

Certified trainees have undergone a five-month (300 hours) ICT training program in fields such as Cyber Security, Web Application Development, Enterprise Java & Mobile, Python Programming, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. The Project funds these trainees to gain professional experience and hands-on work in ICT companies.

This initiative includes the organization and implementation of 40 carefully structured internships, targeting highly skilled and committed trainees. These trainees have demonstrated exceptional aptitude during their participation in the ICT training courses offered by the Project.

The Internship Scheme continues with a Call for Applications inviting ICT companies to join the program. The selected trainees will complete a 3-month paid internship, further enhancing their skills and supporting the growth of Kosovo’s ICT industry.
