The EU-funded Project “ICT for Kosovo’s Growth” fosters a dynamic environment where newly trained individuals bring fresh perspectives to local ICT companies and organizations in the sector. The project introduces a Unique Internship Scheme to equip selected ICT businesses in Kosovo with an advanced ICT-skilled workforce. This initiative aims to bridge the digital and business skills gap in a sustainable way that aligns with market demands.
The primary goals of the Internship Scheme are to promote the professional development of certified trainees and enhance the competitiveness of Kosovo’s ICT businesses by providing them with a modern, skilled workforce.
Certified trainees undergo a five-month (300-hour) ICT training program, which covers key areas like:
The Project will support trainees in gaining professional learning experience and practical work in ICT companies and organizations related to the ICT sector. This initiative will be realized through the organization and implementation of 40 carefully structured internships, targeting highly skilled, certified trainees who have demonstrated exceptional aptitude and commitment during their ICT training.
The Unique Internship Opportunity began in February 2024 with a Call for Applications from ICT companies and organizations related to the ICT sector, as well as a Call for Applications for top-certified trainees. The scheme will continuously progress to meet the needs of host companies.
The Project will select the best-certified trainees to participate in the ICT for Kosovo’s Growth Internship Scheme. These trainees will be matched with ICT companies and organizations that partner with the project. Paid internships will begin in September 2024.
Under the EU-funded ICT Development Project, trainees will be placed in paid internships within organizations in Kosovo’s ICT sector.
