The B2B and Matchmaking Event was organised during 8 – 9 July/2021 in Thessaloniki/Greece, where six Kosovar ICT companies had opportunity to meet with Greek ICT companies, aiming at exploring potential business opportunities and establish direct cooperation with them. The event was organised in cooperation with the Hellenic Association of high-tech and Mobile Applications Companies SEKEE, which represents the most vibrant Greek sector of the best developed high-tech, value-added innovation companies and with Enterprise Europe Network Kosovo (Prishtina REA & STIKK).
The event took place on 8 July 2021, at Hotel Panorama in Thessaloniki and continued on 9 July with technical visits to the premises of Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) and to the IT telehealth and IT telemedicine company Vidavo.
Day I B2B Matchmaking Event – 8 July 2021 – Thessaloniki – Hotel Panorama
The event opened with a welcome and introductory speech provided by the Project Team Leader Mr. Grigoris Kontzoglou. In his speech the TM presented the aim, activities and achievements of ICT for Kosovo’s Growth project, highlighted the importance of the event and encouraged the participants to explore the opportunities towards establishing direct cooperation between Kosovar and Greek ICT companies.
The second session followed by B2B meetings between Greek and Kosovar counterparts.
The total number of the participants was 19, 9 representatives from Kosovo ICT companies and 10 representatives from Greek Companies. 47 B2B meetings were finally conducted (15 of them online since two Greek managers preferred to do online meetings).
Visiting Center for Research and Technology – Hellas
During the second day the Kosovar ICT businesses visited Centre for Research and Technology – Hellas coordinated by SEKEE.
CERTH is a legal entity governed by private law with non-profit status, supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) of the Greek Ministry of Development and Investments involved in many scientific and technological areas with important achievements in Energy, Environment, Industry, Mechatronics, Information & Communication, Transportation & Sustainable Mobility, Health, Agro-biotechnology, Smart farming, Safety & Security as well as several cross-disciplinary scientific areas.
Visiting ICT Company Vidavo
The participants from Kosovo, visited the Greek ICT Company Vidavo, where the Director of the company presented the profile of the company, its projects and offered services before and after “Covid-19”.
For the Kosovar ICT Companies representatives the Director of Vidavo presented one of their very successful Health Care project, Vida24 Doctor which is a connected care modular platform, trusted by multiple users across Europe.
