A hackathon is an event where experts collaborate to solve a specific problem. While many hackathons focus on computer programming and IT, other industries are now adopting this format as well. The term “hackathon” combines “hack” (referring to exploratory programming) and “marathon” (signifying a prolonged effort). In this context, hackers are simply programmers working to develop innovative solutions.
ICT for Kosovo’s Growth organized a Hackathon event in Prizren, where participants were divided into small teams. Each team worked on creating an out-of-the-box solution based on a common theme. At the end of the event, a jury judged the products on various criteria such as originality, presentation, and technical skills.
