The project “EU Support for the Competitiveness of Kosovo’s ICT Sector” organized ICT & Digital Skills Training for the ICT teachers and instructors aiming to improve the IT capacities of the selected staff and ICT teachers and instructors working through out 7 VCT’s, EARK, ICK and teachers/instructors in 8 VET ICT schools.
The training is advanced module – based:
- Java programming;
- Mobile Application Development (Android) with Java;
- Cyber Security.
Training on Java programming
The Training on Java Development covers the major features of Java particularly focusing on the language specific features of java language elements and modern web development specifics. Main objective of this course are to inform the group of trainees for Java concepts starting at a basic level up to mid-advanced level. The course is divided into three parts and each of them treats topics of different levels. At the end of the course, participants who will be part of the training will be familiar with concepts like classes, inheritance, threading and up to Spring framework.
Training on Mobile Application Development (Android) with Java
The mobile application development is getting evolved and is a way of reaching to world-wide users of the community as being a part of the enterprise, large scale applications or being a standalone application. The Android world has many different ways of developing mobile applications for a wide variety of user community. Most of the mobile applications are being developed by using Java and the Android Studio IDE, which provides a wide range of frameworks and SDKs for efficient development. Android Studio is the official integrated development environment for Google’s Android operating system, while within the course, Firebase, Cloud-as-a-Service infrastructure is utilized. The Mobile Development Training course shall provide medium-advanced level knowledge/skills, emphasizing the most modern mobile application development features and skills to date by using the Android OS. Main objective of this course is to provide fast, yet comprehensive knowledge to developers targeting at mobile programming through the best available development tools and programming languages.
Training on Cyber Security
The Web Cyber Security Training covers the necessity of web and internet security, attack methods, concepts and techniques used by cyber criminals, the protection of personal data and privacy up to the protection of company data, and shows professional perspectives in the area of web and cyber security. The training also uses hands-on labs, case studies, and interactive exercises to deepen your knowledge for the field. The training participants deal with aspects of information, system, network, and mobile security and as well the web vulnerabilities. The physical protection of devices and buildings, as well as the ethical and legal framework, are also included. The participants also develop important defense and mitigation techniques for protecting companies and gain insights into the requirements and fields of activity of cyber security experts.
