The EU Support for the Competitiveness of Kosovo’s ICT Sector project organized ICT & Digital Skills Training for ICT teachers and instructors. The aim was to improve the IT skills of selected staff across 7 VTCs, EARK, ICK, and 8 VET ICT schools.

The training consisted of advanced modules in:

    1. Java Programming
    2. Mobile Application Development (Android) with Java
    3. Cyber Security

Java Programming Training

This course focused on key Java concepts, starting from basic to intermediate levels. It covered essential features of Java, including language elements, classes, inheritance, threading, and the Spring framework. Participants learned both the fundamentals and modern web development practices.

Mobile Application Development (Android) with Java

Mobile app development is rapidly evolving, and this training addressed the process of creating Android applications. Using Android Studio and Firebase, participants gained medium-advanced knowledge in mobile app development. The course covered key development tools and programming languages, focusing on creating efficient and scalable applications.

Cyber Security Training

This course explored the need for web and internet security, including attack methods, data protection, and the ethical/legal framework of cyber security. Hands-on labs and case studies were used to enhance understanding of web vulnerabilities, system, network, and mobile security. Participants learned how to defend against cyber threats and gained insights into the role of cyber security experts.
